I recommend transfering the funds out of your paypal account ASAP in case the person(s) you sold stuff to try to scam you by disputing purchase with paypal. Paypal will always side with buyer because they are lazy and don’t care if they screw you.

Yes. When you make a payment, the money is first taken from your PayPal balance, so if you buy something that costs less than the money in your account, you’ll use it.
If your balance cannot cover the full amount of your payment, the rest of the money can come from PayPal Credit products, your linked bank account, eCheck or your personal credit card. (This is called the backup funding source)
You can change your backup funding source before you send a payment using Instant Transfer.
+Log in to your PayPal account.
    +Click the Send Money tab.
    +Enter the required information.
    +Click Continue.
    +Click the Change link.
+Select the Backup Funding Source you would like to use.
    +Click Continue.
+Review the information and click Send Money to complete your transaction.
Note: You may have the option to pay for your entire purchase using eCheck or PayPal Credit.

Yes, you can absolutely use that money to buy stuff with Paypal. Just click the ‘Paypal’ option at the store you’re shopping at (provided they take paypal of course) and you’ll be okay. If the funds in Paypal run short, then it will take the difference off your credit card.

Some websites allow you to pay with paypal, but not all of them. Usually its an option where you select the credit card.
If you pick paypal, it takes you over to paypal to login and authorize the payment.
